Identity

I design
what
haunts you.

I'm Anish Thakur, working under the pen name SilentProtagonist — a character designer, story architect, and background artist who builds worlds from darkness and intention.

Every character I design carries psychological weight. Every environment breathes with unease. I work at the intersection of horror, restraint, and narrative — where a single silhouette communicates more than a thousand words.

Dark themes. Cinematic execution. Mixed experimental technique.

Aeron Blckveil

Protagonist · The Man at The Threshold

Height: 183cmLean · ControlledPower Through Stillness

In a reality of three layers — The Living World, The Fracture, and The Threshold — Aeron is the only being who exists permanently in the third. He doesn't fight with force. He commands space without movement. Structured white coat over absolute black. Calm as a held breath before something irreversible.

+ The Problem
How can a single character communicate power, isolation, and mystery within a minimal environment? Creating strong narrative presence using limited elements — one character, one architectural structure, one controlled colour palette.
+ The Solution
A high-contrast composition using a red torii gate as symbolic frame — architecturally perfect for a being between worlds. The white coat against deep crimson asserts hierarchy and psychological dominance through colour alone, not action.

Raiyn Varos

Anti-Hero · Design Inspired from a Real Person

Grounded RealismUrban HorrorGuilt Embodied

He made a choice. The city moved on. The shadow didn't. Raiyn Varos is a man trapped in the aftermath of an irreversible moment. The entity behind him doesn't speak. It doesn't accuse. It simply follows. When he turns to face it, he isn't fighting a monster — he's fighting the version of himself from that single irreversible second.

"Some ghosts aren't here to die. They're here to stay."
+ The Problem
How can psychological guilt be visualised in a grounded urban setting without exaggerated horror elements? Communicating internal conflict through atmosphere and subtle visual cues — not action, not monsters.
+ The Solution
The shadow entity positioned slightly behind — not threatening, just present. Controlled teal lighting and minimal palette keep the horror psychological. The character's downward gaze carries the entire emotional argument.

Morrow Vaal

Infected · A Survivor Who Did Not Fully Survive

Memory LossPreserved HumanityDeterioration With Awareness

A second viral collapse targeting memory and identity rather than immediate death. Morrow represents deterioration with awareness — skeletal physique, collapsed posture, hollowed expression communicating prolonged suffering, not aggression. He is not a creature. He is a survivor who did not fully survive.

"The virus took his memory. What remained was the shape of a man — and the silence where a person used to be."
+ The Problem
How can a viral outbreak be visualised without conventional zombie or grotesque mutation tropes? Designing an infected character who communicates memory loss, physical deterioration, and lingering humanity simultaneously — while maintaining realism and emotional weight.
+ The Solution
Restraint and realism: emaciated anatomy for long-term degeneration, hunched posture for spinal pain, minimal clothing for vulnerability, natural skin tone with desaturated shading. Preserved facial humanity to maintain empathy. The virus manifests as visible wasting — not transformation.

Seris Valen

Assassin · Fear is More Efficient Than Force

White = AbsenceRed = What RemainsSilence Over Blood

A precision assassin built around control, elegance, and psychological dominance. Her targets rarely see her draw a blade. By the time steel reflects in their eyes, the decision has already been made. The rose choker — beauty fused with danger. She was trained to eliminate threats. She learned something deeper: fear is more efficient than force.

"She does not rush. She waits for hesitation — because hesitation is where power shifts."
+ The Problem
How to design a lethal assassin without over-armoured, aggressive, or hypersexualised tropes? The challenge was finding costume language and skin tone that communicated lethality through posture and elegance alone.
+ The Solution
Restricted palette: black, white, red — each with specific symbolic meaning. Red only at emotional focal points. Asymmetrical garment flow for dynamic movement. Minimal weapon exposure. 2 weeks story development + 2 weeks design iteration to find the right costume language.

How I work

The Method
Behind
The Madness.

Sequential work — Raiyn Varos, Chapter 01
01

Story First, Always

Every character begins with a written question: what weight does this person carry? I research, write, and understand before picking up a pencil. Morrow Vaal took 2 months — weeks of virus research came before a single sketch.

02

Silhouette is the Argument

If the shape doesn't communicate in pure black, detail won't save it. I obsess over silhouette before touching value or colour. Aeron's white coat exists because of this principle — it reads from across a room.

03

Colour as Psychology

Every colour decision is symbolic. Seris Valen's black-white-red palette tells her entire psychological story. Morrow's desaturated warm tones communicate slow biological failure. Colour is a narrative tool, not decoration.

04

Sequential Thinking Always

Even single illustrations are built with panel logic. The Raiyn Varos comic page uses temperature shifts — cold teal to warm amber — to engineer escalating dread across seven frames.

The Touch of Corruption — Light Version

A reinterpretation of Michelangelo's Creation of Adam — one hand rendered in clean line, the other flayed and bleeding. The gap between them is the entire story: the moment before corruption becomes irreversible.
